The Twitter Effect Day Eight
Stepping out of the echo chamber, is harder than you think.
Today I went fishing in twitter. I veered totally off topic and away from the education technologists that I usually follow.
I regularly read a blog by an artist I like. Leah of creativeeveryday. Today’s trail started when Leah mentioned on her blog a creative coach and artist that uses twitter/artizencoaching. After following some interesting tweets, (fishing on twitter- clicking on different @names for example ) I went to twitter.com/artizencoaching , I then clicked on a tweet from @lisasonarabeam).
I found myself right back in the education field with a tweet link to a blog post from readwriteweb about how to build a social network. It gets quite complicated in the middle for me, but the first delicious tip, the netvibes site (link) and the google custom search tips are useful. The opml, I enjoyed, because I did not know what that was and now I do.
Thanks to twitter and some very creative artists. This fishing trip was successful and I found a site to add to my pln tag on delicious.
