I was happy to receive this tweet today hailing the just released today mac beta version of skype that allows screen sharing. Can’t wait for it to be released for windows, I am assuming that it is going to be.
Info is useful as I am in the process of helping school decide on a language lab software infrasructure option. They are v. expensive. With Skype being free and having this option it becomes a more viable choice. I can see the students using it in school in the regular computer lab. I am also considering wiziq, which offers video, chat and whiteboarding. You could put different sessions together for different groups of students. I am so glad the people (@shareski) in my pln on twitter are ahead of the curve.
FYI: I now run small (2-4 people) classes and individual online tech sessions
